Student Missions Work
Cambodia Baptist Bible College

Cambodia Baptist Bible College (CBBC) opened in October of 1999.  The college was formed as a cooperative effort of the pastors/missionaries of the Cambodia Baptist Bible Fellowship to facilitate the training of Cambodia nationals as Christian leaders of their own people.
The college is currently operating under the leadership of President Tim Stephens and board members Mike Valdez, Jojo Miraflor, JoDong Kim and Ken Nielsen.
The teaching is done by the pastors/missionaries and is taught on a two-week block system.  The students have intensive, 4 hour-a-day teaching on one subject for 2 weeks.  This gives them enough hours for a full semester credit.  They study 16 courses each school year.  CBBC currently offers a One Year Christian Workers Certificate for those students who successfully complete every class offered in the first year of study.  There is also a Three Year Diploma in Biblical Studies for those who complete the three year course of study.
At this time there are 68 students enrolled at CBBC.  26 are in their first year, 21 in the second year, and 21 in their third year.   On July 10, 2002, CBBC will celebrate the first graduation ceremony; with 18 students receiving the Three Year Diplomas and 7 students receiving the One Year Certificate.
The college is supported by gifts from local churches both here in Cambodia and from overseas.  We have a student subsidy program in place whereby missionaries can receive assistance in housing and feeding students who could not study without this assistance.  Many of the students either come in from other provinces to study, or they face pressures from their unsaved family for their decision to study the Bible.  Each pastor/missionary may recommend up to five students for this program from their churches.  For those students who demonstrate true need, and who maintain the academic standard set by the CBBC board, there is a $15/month subsidy available.  This money is given to the recommending pastor/missionary of the student to be used in housing and feeding that student.  CBBC gladly welcomes designated gifts for this subsidy program.
